In Army Defender, the player controls the lonely soldier who is manning a cannon at the top of his army base on the right touch screen on the Nintendo DS gaming console. The enemies appear from the left side of the other screen.

The goal of the game, Army Defender is to defend the army base from the enemies army and preventing the demolition of the army base by blowing the enemies. The game is simple to play especially due to the enhanced touch screen of DSi. The player has to fire at the enemy army quickly enough to save oneself from being hit by the enemies.
